Customer Information System is an open system, which manages whole communication of a company with its customers.

Customers can be end-users or a distribution net. The customer system is able to collect any information about customers, their activities towards the company and must effectively communicate with customers using communication channels such as web, email, voice services and SMS. CIS includes many functions of CRM systems (Customer Relationship Management).
